Project overview

Located in Denbigh’s Conservation Area the renovation of the Grade 2 Listed 90 – 92 Vale Street, Denbigh was part funded by Denbighshire’s Townscape Heritage  and Empty Homes initiative..

The works included the sensitive restoration of the external envelope including re- roofing in slate, repointing the external stonework with lime, refurbishment of the original timber sash windows, replacement sash and casement windows and new cast iron rainwater goods.

Internal alterations to No 90 Vale Street to re- instate it as a habitable dwelling included plastering internally with lime, the installation of a new limecrete slab to the ground floor, new heating and electric installation.

The project involved close consultation with Denbighshire’s Townscape Heritage Initiative Officers as well  as Planning, Conservation, Building Regulation and Empty Homes departments.
