Project overview

The project consisted of the conversion of the Grade 2* Listed former Coach House to Llanrhaeadr Hall, Denbigh into a Health Spa. Work included the sensitive restoration of the historic fabric of the building as well as the creation of a maternity roost for lesser Horseshoe Bats. Due to the sensitivity of the site and the funding assistance provided by Cadw and the Local Authority the development of the scheme required extensive discussion and dialogue with the Local Authority Planning, Conservation, Ecology and Building Regulation departments as well Cadw, the Countryside Council for Wales, the Environment Agency and the Georgian Group.

Facilities in the Spa include a Hydrotherapy Pool, a thermal suite, a hair salon, treatment rooms, a coffee shop and a fitness suite.
