Project overview

Consisting of the conversion of an Agricultural Farm Building into a residential dwelling in open countryside Cynefin will provide a family home and artist studio.

The bespoke dwelling will include a large open plan living space, a study, a kitchen, 2No double bedrooms, a master bedroom with en- suite, a shower room, an artists studio and ancillary spaces.

Maintaining the character of the former agricultural building the conversion will be finished with a profiled metal sheet roof, timber cladding and existing brickwork pointed in lime. Large openings will be glazed and provide extensive views out to the surrounding countryside.

The building is to be serviced by a biomass boiler and PV panels on the roof.

From inception the projects was developed by Creu using Revit Architecture. This has allowed detailed design discussions with the clients including lighting layouts using 3d visual outputs, material take-off outputs to be shared with the project Quantity Surveyor and the co- ordination of Structural steelwork prepared in Tekla by the steelwork fabricators.
